Why choose Allongé?
Allongé offers a more intentional, refined approach to movement. Rather than high-impact training or repetitive routines, our classes focus on precision, alignment, and controlled strength, inspired by the discipline of dance. Every movement is designed to sculpt, lengthen, and strengthen — leaving you feeling not only physically stronger, but more connected, confident, and elevated.
This is fitness, redefined.
Â
How do I choose the right class for me?
Each Allongé class has been thoughtfully designed to deliver a distinct experience, while working beautifully together.
Barre & Sculpt - A low-impact, high-intensity class focused on controlled, precise movement to tone, lengthen, and strengthen the entire body.
Sweat & Sculpt - A more dynamic session combining dance-inspired cardio with targeted sculpting for an energising, full-body workout.
Pilates - A slower, more intentional class centred on deep core strength, alignment, and mobility.
Whether you’re looking to feel energised, challenged, or grounded, there is a class to support your journey.

What is barre?
Barre is a refined, full-body training method inspired by the foundations of classical ballet, reimagined into a low-impact, high-intensity workout. At Allongé, barre is not about dancing — it’s about how you move. Using the barre for balance and support, we guide you through a series of small, controlled, and highly targeted movements designed to activate deep, often underused muscles. These movements are intentionally precise. You’ll work in isometric holds, micro-pulses, and slow, controlled sequences that create a deep, sustained burn — particularly through the glutes, core, arms, and inner thighs.
What makes barre so effective is its focus on:

-
Alignment — improving posture and body awareness
-
Control — strengthening stabilising muscles
-
Endurance — building long-lasting strength without strain
-
Lengthening — creating a sculpted, elongated appearance

At Allongé, we elevate this method further by incorporating light weights, resistance bands, Pilates balls, and ankle weights, allowing each class to feel both dynamic and deeply effective. The result is a body that feels strong, lifted, and effortlessly aligned — with movement that becomes more graceful, controlled, and confident over time.
Do I need a dance background to feel confident in class?
Not at all. While our foundations are rooted in dance, our classes are designed to feel inclusive, supportive, and easy to follow, regardless of experience. We guide you with clarity and care, allowing you to move with confidence from your very first class.

I’m new to this style of training — is Allongé right for me?
Absolutely. Allongé is designed to welcome you at the very beginning of your journey. We focus on building strong foundations, helping you develop confidence, awareness, and strength in a way that feels both supportive and empowering. You will never feel out of place here.
Â
I have experience — how will I be challenged?
For those with a strong foundation, Allongé offers a deeper level of refinement.
Through layered progressions, precise technique, and enhanced muscle engagement, our classes allow you to challenge your control, endurance, and overall performance. Subtle adjustments and expert guidance ensure that every session continues to feel purposeful and progressive.
